Breaking the Barrier Saunton Sunday 12 May 2019: What a wonderful way to kick – start Breaking the Barrier 2019 with a free family surf at Saunton. The event was made possible by the amazing Saunton Hotdoggers, who helped 24 families from as near as Braunton and as far as Bristol to come and surf in the spectacular setting of Saunton Beach; The Saunton Beach Café provided free ice cream for all the young people, Saunton Surf gave us discount prices on wetsuit hire and Saunton Beach Villas gave free parking for all the event volunteers – this year 93% of the event workforce were volunteers:

I am told the event was brilliant (by Flynn) and amazing (by my husband) – he said he had a little tear in his eye watching Flynn and the guys doing their stuff in the water!!. They both thoroughly enjoyed themselves – helped partly by the glorious weather – and could not express enough how lovely and kind and helpful everyone had been.”
